A house that took almost three years to design and build deserved an equally arduous 'eco-scape' designed and installed by BioGardener. A buffalo grass/blue grama prairie on the fringes of the landscape transitions into a riparian woodland filled with Eve's necklace, possumhaw, yaupon, Turks cap, native lantana, kidneywood, Tx mountain laurel, fragrant mist flower, tropical sage, horseherb, American beautyberry, and other Austin natives. The center of the woodland is anchored by a dry stream bed that transfers rainwater from a dramatic fall from the inverted roof of the house. Featured on the 2007 AIA-Austin Home Tour!
