Thoughtfully designed by the artistically inclined owner (also of Mod Green Pod), this project seriously tested our ninth grade math skills. Three circles, the largest for an herb garden and the other two for seating and picnic areas, were created in this small urban Austin backyard. Compost was added in areas that were sodded with Zoysia grass. 15-foot crape myrtles were transplanted to a neighbor's yard to make more room, and pigeonberry was added in shady areas to create a colorful groundcover.
